In short
I started my first company in 2004 designing and printing business cards, funded by the Prince's Trust and the East London Small Business Centre. I went on to run Tullett Brown, an alternative investment company in the City of London employing around 30 people, and later provided the seed capital for the TAP Platform, which listed on the London Stock Exchange.
Tullett Brown
Tullett Brown sold land, carbon credits and precious metals to private investors. In 2013 the company was wound up following an Insolvency Service petition, and the press coverage that followed told a very simple story. It was not the full story.
There was no police investigation, no criminal charge and no conviction — because no crime was committed. The company operated with a compliance department, recorded calls, risk warnings and a refund policy, none of which were required at the time. The High Court later dismissed the remaining claims against TAP Global.
The full account, with the documents, sits in the Public Record section of this site. It is there for anyone who wants to read past the headlines.
Now
I write about business, investment and land. I also track every Greenbelt release in England in Greenbelt Watch, because the gap between what newspapers say about Greenbelt land and what councils actually do with it has never been wider.
